You have not read all 14 pages, otherwise you would not be saying this to me. I'll spell it out as I don't mind repeating myeslf. I currently have 22 characters over 3 accounts. I like to try out new builds that I read on here and in pvxwiki, I need skills and elites to try these builds out. Hmm, I need money, lots of money. I can only play a few hours a night, tonight being an exception where I've pent the entire night on here wasting my breath (and believe me I know I'm wasting my breath. Obviously if I wanted to instigate change I would not be doing it though here, I would create a business case for it and present it to ANet directly.)
So, in a nutshell, I like to make Barbies as one poster eloquently put it and I like to dress those Barbies up with lots of neato builds and it costs a lot and I have to waste the minimal amount of time I have to play this game farming.
Seriously need to cut and paste this on every page.

I think I found the problem. 22 characters over 3 accounts? You're definitely doing it wrong.
What added benefit over having 1 account with 10 characters are you getting out of this? No wonder you don't have money, it's the same as trying to support 22 animals, you'll bankrupt yourself buying dog food and the cats will starve

Thing is you're one of those outcasts, you're out in left field while the majority of players are in right field. Anet is not going ot cater to you they are not going to change things to make you happy. They are going to do what is best for the majority 99.9% of the time something that will benefit ALL in an almost equal manner and this my friend is not something the majority would want. Maybe if you got a life and didn't play GW so much (which anyone who plays 22 different characters really needs a life and some help in life) you might find you don't need out of game gold to have fun. Go bowling, play golf, get away from that one-eyed devil you obviously spend way too much time in front of.

I believe that falls under option B: you like to have bling in game and want to pay real life money for it. [email protected] - you just proved my point.
You don't need lots of money, it's maximum one platinum for a skill and a whole bar would be a maximum of eight. How long does it take to make eight platinum? That falls under category A: you're doing it wrong because you can't support yourself. Each character should be self supportive, so it doesn't matter how many you have.
I have read all 14 pages - that's why I outlined the ways you're doing it wrong in my original post. =)

You can play barbie all you want, armor and dye isn't expensive at all. Pretty sure I made enough for a 15k set over 2 days (maybe a week if you've got limited time)
Opening the game to a wider audience? Anyone with $50 and a computer can play. That's a pretty big audience.
|
OK...my lvl 11 mesmer...how do I Cap illusionary weaponry to test a build idea?? Please, let me know something that won't take three weeks of two hours a day of playing. Orrrr...I could buy a leet mez tome and test the build NOW! see that it sucks and move on to something else.
Point 2: I like to p[lay Barbie...see above on making Barbie do cool shit with magic.
Point 3: Most people, if they DID bother to pick up this game, would play for 2 weeks to a month, get pissed off about the inability to get stuff and quit. ANet would have a unique opportunity.

Lol 300 people in an OFFICE hahahaha maybe if they were typing secretaries I might have believed that, but, 300 Dr. Nurses and Pharm all in one OFFICE hahahah sorry but you just lost all credibility for lack of smarts. Anyone who's in those professions wouldn't be playing some silly kids game with 22 characters. If they are they need some of those other 299 other peoples help there.

Point 1: Roll a PVP slot. How do you plan to test a build on a lv 11 and get any real results?
Point 2: You didn't make a point here.
Point 3: I've gotten dozens of people into this game. Some don't play for time restraints. Some don't play because they didn't like the game. Some still play. I've never met anyone who ever said "It's too hard to get stuff, I quit." People with that attitude don't deserve to have stuff, because they're the whiners who aren't willing to work for a reward.
Edit: If you want Illusionary Weaponry on your lv 11 that bad....

Get a run to droks, 2-3k, tops. Some people do it for tips, or free.
Get a cap sig. If you're only lv 11 it should be 200-500 gold
Cap it right outside Rankor. Saved yourself at least 5 plat with a little thinking and research.

Given that every character can acquire any armor sets, you can play dress up all you want with 10 characters. My point still stands.

See and i thought the whiners were the ones who would be upset that their time farming was replaced with money spenders
As to the lvl 11 test, it's not that hard. make a new character and try it.

People who spend more time playing, SHOULD get more rewards, gold, titles etc than those that don't. Buying Gold would remove this.

So do you get plastic surgery or a sex change every week when you're not satisfied with what you see in the mirror?
If you're complaining about a lack of money and you're the one causing the problem to yourself, then don't cry to ANET to fix it for you.

So why are you testing builds on lv 11's? What is there to test on? What can you test it on that matters at that stage of the game? Why wouldn't lv 20 results give you better information in every way?
